How To Knit
Knitting can be a very simple project to do or a very hard projects to do. The first step to knitting is to cast on , (put the stitches on the needle). To do so,you must make a slip knot and put it on the needle. Then, you take your other needle and put it up through the hole. After that, you wrap the yarn around the second needle and pull through to make a stitch, when you do this however you do not let the stich go, you must put it on the needle you started with and do the process again until you have as many stiches as you want. The second step to knitting is the actual knitting. To do so you take the needle without the stitches on it and do like you were casting on accept this time instead of keeping it on the same needle you need to transfer it on to the other needle. Do this step all the way across until finally all the stiches are on the other needle and you have your first row. you keep repeating this step until it is as long as you want it. The third and final step is to cast off ( take the stitches off the needle). To do this you knit two stitches and you pull the first one over the second. Then you knit one more and pull the one behind it over, then again knit one and pull the back one over the front one and off the needle. You repeat this step until you have only one stitch left. When that happens you need to cut the yarn string about an inch away from the pattern and pull up and through the knot to make an ending knot.
How To Crochet
The first step to crocheting is to make a chain. To do this you must first make a slip knot and put it one the crochet hook. After, you've done this you wrap the yarn around the crochet hook and pull the slip knot over and off the hook making the first chain stitch. Then you put the yarn around the crochet hook and pull the back stitch over and off the hook making your second chain. Repeat until chain is as long as you would like. After, you must take the crochet hook and go down into the first stitch then wrap the yarn around the hook and pull through. Keep doing this through out the whole row. When you are done you have completed that task you then keep doing through out until you have it as long as you want. There really is no casting off when you crochet all you do is wait till you get to the end of a row. Then cut about an inch down the yarn and pull up and through to make an end knot.
